National Priorities Project Database

This is the most important political research tool I've seen. Check it out NOW!

National Priorities Project Database

Click on the "Tradeoffs" link to see what your community, or the entire U.S. could have gotten instead of tax cuts for the rich or the cost of the Iraq war.

From the National Priorities home page see also Interactive Income Tax Chart, showing how much of your tax payment went where.

The Cost of War link will show you how much your community has paid for the war so far. (The cost of the war is updated continually.) I made the breathtaking discovery that Sonoma County has already paid nearly $440 million for the war. The $29 billion the whole state has paid would have wiped out our state budget shortfall.
